Does Frequent Washing Damage washing Machine

The owner of the house where we leave tell me that I should not wash too often. He told me I should save all our dirty clothes and wash it in a large bulk, because if I wash with just 1 hamper of dirty clothes often it will destroy his washing machine. I said yes just to appease him but I don't believe it. I think it is better to wash in right quantity of clothes not in bulk because the machine will have difficult in working. What do you think guys?

angelic your landlord is nuts if he thinks that washing in small quantities is going to ruin his washing machines. Oh my this is the most ridiculous way for any landlord to convey some other issue that he perhaps is having.
Maybe he is thinking the water bill and or electric bill is going to increase due to, too much usage. But to use this as an excuse is ridiculous as that is why the machines have small, medium and large load settings.
Unfortunately because he owns the machines there is truly nothing you will be able to convince him with.

yeah, I think you are right,maybe he is thinking about the bills. But you know what he always open the tv while he play on his computer and tell will fall sleep with both tv and pc on. haha. He is odd he wants to save yet he wastes more. my husband is suggesting that we use a coin operated washing machine or I should wash if he is not here. I prefer to wash in the coin operated because his washing machine does not clean and dry the clothes well.

We have been washing clothes in the quantity that can be handled by the machine for more than three years now.Other than small maintenance i don't observe any great wear and tear.I feel your owner has some other problem.This is the first time someone has raised such an issue.

I want to explain him that the heavier the load the prone to damage it will be. But I know he will not listen to anything so I just say yes. It is really hard when you are renting, you have to be in good terms with the land lord. Good thing we only pay little amount for the rent and everything. He is nice but sometimes he got odd ideas on things.
