why thinking before speaking is important

That certainly is very important and absolutely necessary for oneself as well as for the people one is talking to. One should not be saying things unless one is absolutely certain about it. To others, one would not want to misguide or break promises. To oneself, one would not want to known as a lier or a cheater.

it depends^^ when i have time to think i think first before i say^^ but if someone attack me in some way or saying bad about me or being rude i answer back right away. i dont think what i will say and i say all that im feeling. im a very honest person. i rather say how i feel that keep it to myself. i cant stand to have things to be said. i need to say all.

I do believe our character building, especially how we are brought into the teachings of our moral values plays an important role on how we deal with others. Our interaction with other people is a product of what is our current emotion and how we can control based on that morals. Also, our emotions would also be the influential factor on what and how we deal with others. Sometimes, words just slipped our mouth that it is maybe out of emotion but not based on what we have in mind... There are people who can still clearly think even at heightened emotions, others well, they will say whatever they like to say. As for me, I am only human, I do commit mistakes and sometimes "burst" out emotions not based on what I like to be on what's on my mind for what it is. But I am very careful not to over do it... I am a lady, I think most gals have a tendency to go on an emotional outbreak from time to time. But without factor of emotion, I always think first what I am going to say or do rather than do it spontaneously. This is my point of view at this topic.
