Internet vs Cable

A few months ago I was told that we can view online movies for free in some internet sites. My! It was no difference viewing it as compared to viewing it on a cable. The movie is clear and so with its sound, except that the monitor is smaller than the tv screen. If you are to choose, which do you prefer - viewing movies on a subscribed cable company or via Internet sites and why?

Well as for me I just download movies for free on the internet using shareware instead of viewing it on cable. No Commercials, Clear copy, And you can view it any time. I used to buy DVD's but found out that the internet has got more stuff to offer than DVD's and cable.

We're on the same boat. Years ago, I also do that. I spend big money buying CDs and DVDs not till the discovery of free movies online. And yes it is clearer compared to the ones in CDs. :)

hi, Watching movies for free is not legal my friend, the sites that are providing also say they are just linking up they do not have any responsibility about the links. Most of them are pirated, piracy is something like robbing from others pocket. I suggest you t view movies from subscribed cable company.Safe for you as well as for the film maker.

Well, I just don't know. I remembered watching a news on tv where a gov't official said in relation to piracy that it's fine to download movie for your own viewing and is only considered as piracy if you download it, reproduce and then sell it in the market. Are we to be blamed for a free access of these movies online? :) So far, I haven't heard of anyone being put to prison for watching movies online.

For sure internet sites but it is mainly because it is free. However, if I am to pay, then I will choose cable over internet.

I think between the two i would choose watching movies in a cable because i do not have to wait for the streaming to load and finish. Watching it in a cable is much more comfortable and you can enjoy it while you just sit or lie down on your bed. and also i can switch to different channel if i am bored with the movie i am watching.

I have experienced that too. It got into my nerve when the internet connection ran too slow and took long for the streaming to load. Nevertheless, I haven't given in to subscribing to a cable since it means additional budget for its subscription :)

I don't have a TV set already for a lot of years now, so it's hard to me to imagine the difference from cable and the Net. Everything, what I need and wish, I can view in the Internet. And if there is something that I can't get in the Web in no way, then it's usually not so worth to definitely see it. So, I find it a very good idea to throw away the cable, stopping to pay every month for the cable TV.
