Anyone using Kodak Zi6 camera? I need help please

When charging batteries, can I charge the kodak ones that I got with my camera? Also in instructions it says that when you plug the adapter in the socket there should be lights turned on (two red ones), but since we're europeans I had to use converter on top odf adapters socket, so I can plug it in our home socket, so I don't know if that's the reason the lights don't turn on? and if they don't turn on, do you think the charger is charging batteries at all? the first time I use it the lights just blinked and that was it, now they don't turn on anymore, or is it spoiled now? please help.
