facebook version for minors can just do fine

May be its time facebook considers developing the version for minors, My two nieces keep pestering me to show them how to register and use this social networking site, but I've been declining constantly on grounds that they are minors. Can we version for minors?

I'm so glad you brought that up. I don't have children and my first neice was just recently born, but all my little cousins get on facebook and I worry about it pretty deeply. Some bad things can happen on the internet and having a site just for you only helps their chances. The other day I caught my cousin giving someone she iddn't know her address and phone number. The only problem is even if they make one for minors, minors aren't the only ones that would use it.

You're right, and that's my worry too. What complicates the issue even more is the fact that even if we don't introduce such minors to the internet, they certainly have other ways to access it when there's no one around to monitor their activities.

My folks won't do that, I wish they did. The two nieces am talking about here are 14 and 9.
