Did you like the walking dead pilot episode?

Since some of my favorite TV series were cancelled (Heroes, Flash forward and Legend of the seeker),I was searching for a new series to watch. I am quite tired of the vampire movies and TV series (especially the day walking types). I found an alternative to "The walking dead". The series is set on a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies. Based on the top-selling image comic of the same title, the Pilot episode is interesting enough to make you watch the succeeding episodes. Though I have to say that there were dull moments and it was not as scary as I expected. But overall it was a great pilot episode. what are your thoughts?
