Pen names for our favorite female authors

I know that there are some conflict or descrimination before with women author but my mind is not so good to remember what can anyone enlighten me on this? as to my real point my favorite author such as Jane austen used the pen name "a lady" its really brave for her to use that, to annouce that her stories not allowing her to use her real name was written by a woman. while my other favorites such as charlotte and emily used the names currer and ellis bell, their other sister anne used acton bell, the readers were totally fooled. whats your favorite author's pen name if they have one
