I am sure many of our lotters had known that a severe drought stoke the southwestern provinces of my country(China). The drought is said to be the worst in the past 100 years, and the government said about 10 million people and millions of livestocks were suffering from the thirst.I donated all the money I had at that time to help those poor people out the disaster.I knew 12$ did not mean a lot,but it meant lives there. I have been wondering why we human beings realize the importance only when it is disappearing. But when we realize, water is not enough. OK,I know all of you guys love the world. How do you save water in everyday of life? Please share.

I think that is human nature. Regret always comes after or we only realize the lose when it is gone. Anyways, we have several ways to conserve and save water. Every drop should be necessary and saved. Hence, we should be more disciplined and think of the future. When we used to use more than 2 gallons for bathing, then at least minimize it. Of course, drinking water should not be thrift.

I agree with you. Some people use too much water while taking bath.

At the end of November there will be the next UN Climate conference in Cancun, Mexico. It's very likely that the things there will go in the exactly same scenario as in Copenhagen last year, when the biggest world's polluters China and USA rejected any essential agreements to reduce the amounts of greenhouse gas emissions. So, very predictable, we will continue to warm up around the world and the drought in China will only intensify. I suppose, that's the key to your question - we can't fight effectively against the climate changes without any common strategy and serious commitments of governmental level. Saving water when bathing or less drinking is a good action, but it won't help these 10 million of people in China. At the same time, the position of the most influential global players - China and USA - is understandable. If you want to save their life, you should put on the break the booming economical growth, which means that the welfare of Chinese and Americans will be affected. So these are very hard dilemmas: to live better today or care about better living in the future...

Hi Veagle Very good topic and hot issue now a days that we should save water not only for us but for the future generations. I am really very sorry to hear about people in China that they are suffering from this condition. All these things comes when we human tend to play with nature and this type of thing appear in any part of the world, this is called the effects of climate. I appreciate your cause and the donation you made for your brothers and sisters over there in China. This could be the lesson for us, that we can be effected by such disaster if we did not changed our life style to green...:) Be happy and be the reason of Happiness in others life...
