I was listening to songs while returning from college, one of my friend's told me that this degrades your memory. I couldn't get the biological and chemical stuff that followed, but I want to know, is this true?

Sorry, that's a new one for me too! I have never ever heard anything about that. I don't know what listening to earphones has to do with your memory. However, if you are trying to study while listening I would say you won't be able to remember what you read! lol!

Ya I too was astonished with the information, my friend told that he had learnt this from some health magazine. I generally don't argue with him, so I took out my earphones and told that I will check that out. ~cheerio~

This is quite new information for me. Never, nowhere, no one told me such a news. I don't know. I think this is not true. I don't believe it. I don't find the logical flow, if you ask him again about the biological and the chemical stuff, this should reveal me something. I will check about this on the net. If it's true and spread allaround, this may change many people's lives.

I didn't know that! Though I have heard that listening to music in a loud voice over headphones is harmful to ears but this information to me. I guess I will search more about it and would minimize the use of headphones now.
