Coke and Mentos Eruption

Does anyone ever did the experiment on "Coke and Mentos Mint Candy Eruption" personally? There are so many videos of such experiment on the internet. If this is proven true, could it pose any harm if we happened to consume this two items together?

Yes it is true, better not to consume both together, best thing you go for lime water etc.

I have seen the video before and also heard about it. So far, it seems right. Generally, I avoid taking bubble gum or chewing gum with coke or other cold drinks.

Yes it is true. I've tried it myself and it gives a massive eruption. By the way did you know that Mentos is a Dutch brand? The whole story about these eruptions made their sales go crazy. Good for them. It shows that viral marketing can do miracles.
I don't think it would pose much harm. There have been loads of times where I consumed coke and other soft drinks and mentos and nothing spectacular happened.
