For buying a new desktop computers my advice is to make an assemble of it and if you have already knows its parts by which you know what its total cost, if you wanna have to buy a desktop computer I'll be guiding you just let me know..... If your taking up with the Netbook the smaller than laptop its size is about 10 - 12 inch, and has no internal optical disc which is a disadvantage since its price are cheaper. It is good for surfing the web but for heavy users such as playing game its lack of features and also for a huge amount of storage capacity

Hi kailoklok It's pretty good that computers are cheaper these days than before. I remember laptops usually cost around 100,000 pesos in the early or mid 90s and desktop upgrades would be around 30K to 50,000. I asked for a laptop early this year because I need it for my studies. I used to share a desktop computer with my brother since I was a kid and it's pretty difficult to share especially when my brother uses it almost the whole day. We bought a new laptop which costs 35,000 pesos. Since laptops cannot be upgraded like desktop computers, I thought of choosing a laptop that would last me years in terms of features.

Thanks for choosing mine as best response. Yes, laptops can be upgraded too but not as easy to take apart as desktops. ^_^ Speaking of upgrade, I still haven't found out what upgrades my laptops are allowed to have, lol. I better research on that

Well, my computer is only a cheap laptop. I use an Acer which I bought for a few hundred dollars. And I have been using it for 2 years now with no problems, aside from a yearly re-install for its windows and firmwares.
