People clamoring, one man shot at PS3 release

Shoppers have camped in line for days to be first in U.S. to get PS3; Connecticut man shot in apparent robbery. Is there any game or anything worth standing in line for days and then getting shot or trampled over? My husband and I were talking about this playstation before it came out. He has ps2. PS3 you can't play ps1 or ps2 games on so is it worth the money?

I so that on the news also and I think it is rediculous!! They did the same thing with Cabbage Patch kids. As soon as Christmas is over, the rush will probably over too. It is just so silly.

No it is not worth it. There is no way, I would camp out anywhere for anything you can buy. People are crazy!! I think it is awful that all the games you already have will not work on this game console. Such a waste of money.
