We had lots of movies on robots? Do you feel they will rule us?

We had lots of movies now like the Terminator series, iRobot, Robocop, Surrogates and many more which depict that they do both good and bad to human beings. It makes me some times think whether this is possible. Anything created by man should be controllable. I am sure it works that way with respect to all theories. Recently a movie named Robot came in India also. It was a good movie to watch but in reality it will hurt us that they are more powerful. I am sure all of you will accept that. I will love to be in that world as friends and appreciate the invention and work they do. I still would love to be ruled by a human being having a brain and heart. Share your thoughts on the same.

The more palpable danger is rather that we will become very dependent on them and unable to live without our machine helpers. Then something really unsavory happens and we lose all our machines. Then we are all horribly boned...

Your question reminded me of an episode from Spongebob Squarepants. Spongebob was watching a movie about robots and he became so paranoid that all his friends have turned into robots. I think this is funny, but also possible. Robots are now being utlized in high tech factories and manufacturing plants in assembly lines or to do specific functions. Robots are programmed by humans, thus only humans then can re-program them. With this, I don't think they could take over the earth. We will still be on top of the food chain :-)

I don`t think the robots will rule us in the future. Even if there`s artificial intelligence, no object or technology could match the human brain besides it`s the humans who created technology. Robots or robotics are already playing an important role on a daily basis through automated devices and machines we see in malls and factories, and with the increasing rate of technological advancement, robots will still be part of our environment for a good purpose and function especially for highly developed countries but they will never rule over humans as what popular sci-fi movies tell because robots don`t have the will to govern.

i don't think robot will rules us and i think it just a science fiction, inventor or scientist are not stupid to create a robot that cannot be stop or control.. human made robot then human must know how to stop them,

I think it has to be a long term for the robots to rule us. Actually my husabnd and me hope to have a robot which can help us to do all the housework. So we don't have to do it and we shall have more spare time. Whenever I watch a robot movie, we just hope one day this technology will be used for common families.

That is a wacky thought you have there. Robots are indeed a part of everybody else's life now. Seems like they're growing and growing until one day everybody has a robot helper. I have that sapien robot but it only talks and move. Doesn't do much.
