Looking for Christmas gifts but not brave enough for Divisoria? Tiangge are the perfect place for you. They've been sprouting out everywhere in the metro. For those near Makati, the christmas bazaar at DBP is now open (Nov. 18-20 only). I just bought a cute dress for my 2 year old for only P150. I will be back there for lunch and more shopping. Cheers to all!

Tiangge in Marikina - The view from across the river
That's true, I just came from the newly opened tiangge in Marikina which sprouts yearly around this time. There is even a boat that ferries people from Riverbanks to the other side. There are also calesas that run through the jogging lane from one area to another. There were all kinds of street foods so that shoppers can eat after walking around shopping. Tonight, Coke is sponsoring a concert.

Divisoria is definitely the place to be especially if one is shopping for christmas decors. My mom bought some pieces a few years back and we're still using them until now. It's not just about affordable prices. Quality products are also very high in Divisoria since it's been known to be a shopper's haven.

Tiangge or Bazaar shopping is more exciting for me than going to the malls. It's true, prices are more affordable because you could negotiate and ask for a discount specially if you have purchased 2 or more items. I also like the variety, the assortment of items in bazaars. And some are even homemade or crafted by hand, which makes it a unique token or gift. Greenhills Bazaar is so crowded already so it would be good to explore the nook and crannies within the Metro.
