Frozen in Fear

Just as little flowers are frozen in time, I seem to be also. I've been working on my first self publishing for about 3 years now, and every time I think I'm ready to share it, I freeze up. It's a really inspirational piece and the parts I've shared seem to really help others. So why am I so afraid? Part of me doesn't fully understand the formatting and how to go about getting it from notebook to book form. Part of me isn't very confident that it would ever sell. Then part of me is just afraid to try! Can anyone relate? Everyone tells me that I'm an excellent writer and that they simply can't wait for this to get published, but I always chicken out.

I have a friend of mine that does ePublishing. They have the option to print these books, or they can be viewed in electronic format. The authors then get paid either per download, or print. Maybe something along that lines would ease the blow, and make it feel a little less daunting. Sometimes if something feels "less real" it helps ease the anxiety associated with the action. You tend to loose that "all or nothing" feeling if it is "just a trial". Something to consider. Maybe talking with my friend could help.
