how do buy stuff online that's not cheap and flimsy?

I have problems going to cheap on ebay and the stuff i get winds up going back or i am stuck with it, how do i elliminate this problem?

When I buy stuff there I either only buy from really reputable sellers, or stuff from brands I know are good (then you need to make sure the item in genuine, of course). I have honestly never had these problems, maybe that is why...
