Age to retire

The age to retire:
In the UK, they have picked a year by which the age to retire is lifted. Somewhere in 2040 people should be older to retire. Which is i.e. in accordence with the fact that people get older.
What do you think? In other countries it's costing votes when politicians talk about it.
