When I see little children of class 3 and 4 holding heavy bags with 10-15 books in their bag, not only little children but students of schools and colleges are carrying heavy bags these days. It really pains me. I think One e book reader will be the best replacement for all those heavy books.and the learning can be interactive too. Little children will get rid of heavy bags on weight on their backs. With regard to nature we will have more trees when we have less usage of paper too. I strongly feel e book reader can replace all books in a set of 5 CDs for 5 subjects (example) an one e book reader. Please share you opinions and views, Thanks in advance.

I think some of the institutions of higher learning are already going down this path. It may take a little while longer for it to trickle down to the lower grades though.. but it's coming!

Yes I think we should do it with classes I to X to also. In India we see children with heavy bags on their back. My son is in UKG he carries 8 note books and 4text books every day to school.

Some times it can be ridiculous! Some schools here issue a book to take home with them and leave it there to do homework. Then they have as classroom set to use while they are at school... that's also a good option but most schools don't want to pay the extra money!

That's a great idea! I can't believe schools have not already tried this, when I think about it! So yeah, I totally agree with you. I guess the only down side is the high cost of e book readers.

Like the cell phone prices have come down, soon the prices of e readers too will come down. Only thing more players should enter the market.
