What Is REALLY Wrong?

So a certain clergy or rather a bishop - Bishop Peter Broadbent made a statement or statements about the Prince's marriage in his Facebook. Now, he is being suspended and worst could be loosing his job. So, a Facebook "chatter" which is similar to normal chatter happening in an office pantry or over a cup of tea with a friend or over drinks with a group our drinking friends is being taken seriously and giving people the right to "crucify" him. I mean, people around are ever talking about freedom of speech and now some chatter is being taken like a statement. C'mon! So, if the words are abhorrent then what about the reaction of the people or authorities? What? A bishop is not human? A bishop is not entitled to pantry or small talk? On his statement, I do not think there's anything bad as far as intention is concern or misleading giving the statistics on failure had been increasing at alarming rate. Not forgetting, the concern monarch's parent and uncle's marriage as well. Let me say that people should be reflective here than getting all worked up. His words aren't totally irrelevant or condescending. I say take it with a pinch of salt and take care of our relationships and most of all our marriage. Think about it.

I just read your link. I would say that his timing was off if the Queen was to open the Synod but what happened to freedom of speech? He has every right to express his opinion to someone and his Bishop is definitely overreacting. Good heavens - the man apologised. What more is he expected to do. I do not know if they will divorce or not but I wish them every happiness - she knows what she is getting into and it will not be easy for her. I am glad tht th families are paying for the wedding and not the state

cynthiann, I suppose we are all living in a chaotic world where people that should be reprimanded are walking about free whilst some "pantry" chatter is taken to task. Facebook? I mean, the people must be seriously lunatic to take social networking site members to task. What a world?

Wow. That is over the line. You're right, he just made a simple statement there that just reached the public. There's nothing wrong with that. People have their own thoughts and there's nothing wrong with voicing it out.

frontvisions101, My exact sentiments here. For COL, they are just merely comments on his personal Facebook and I just feel that the reactions are really exaggerated and overboard. I am sorry for not attaching the link of the article for this discussion proper and if you would like to read in more details please check out the link (definitely non referral) below. Have a nice day. Ref: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1332338/Kate-Middleton-Prince-Williams-marriage-fall-apart-bishop-suspended.html
