Definitely a no-no! There are a lot of sms I received which asks me to be their friend or what we call textmates. However, I do not trust easily so I do not reply at all. What about you?

Hi,frenzylady: As far as i see, these texts are either sent to wrong number or telephone fee traps. In regard of the firs situation, i feel familiar to this number, i may check my phone directory and send back a message to figure out whether it is my friend; and when talk about the second one, to be honest i have encountered once which cost me some money and time to go to the mobile phone business hall to shield the number. It is really a nightmare. So now, i turn a deaf ear on them most of the time.

No, I don't reply to those kinds of invitations. It's pretty creepy for me, and who knows who or what that person might be. I've tried replying to one such invitation before, but it was not really from a complete stranger, because my friend gave my number to him. I got the scare of my life because his texts sounded like he was my bf or something. Glad I lost that phone and that number, so he wasn't able to text me again.

I think people who do this are violating other people's right to privacy. Even if his or her intention is good I do not think they will make good friends much less lovers. There is also a possibility that they might be creeps or stalkers or things like that, so be careful , you might be the next crime victim.

I do, but only because my friends and I play pranks on each other,) I have a number I share only with them and another which I use for work, if some unknown number texts me in my work number I would never reply, but if someone texts me in my private number I reply for I'm a hundred percent sure that its one of my crazy friends^_^

I never replied to such a message at all. I find them rude and annoying. It's like spamming, sending someone a message that they don't want at all. I don't know why people take their chance in finding a lover through that way.
