How Does Everyone Feel about the New TSA Strip Searches

About three weeks ago, I had to fly out to Orlando to meet my new mother in law. When I got to the airport, a little button on the back of my daughters pants caught the screeners attention. The folks at the TSA counter started running towards the child and shouted don't move. Right in front of the many people needing to board the flight, they told my 13 year old daughter to take her pants down. This request really hurt me and I felt there was nothing I could do to protect her. She had to take down her pants, and the TSA worker also touched through over her panties to see if she was hiding something. Do you think this is the right way to conduct screenings at the airport? I have so much feud in me do to this.
