Turkey for Pinoy Noche Buena?

They say that the equivalent of our Christmas Noche Buena celebration in the US is Thanksgiving Day. Their traditional food is turkey, which is the center of attraction in their Thanksgiving Dinners. Over here, most of us celebrate it with ham or the hamon as the centerpiece of our Christmas dinner. How about turkey for a change? Do you think Pinoys would take a liking for turkey?

Yes, Pinoy loves to eat but i don't think their gonna change Ham for Turkey for Noche Buena. We are Pinoy and we're not American. That is why it's called Tradition. Kaya tayo natatawag na "Gaya-gaya Puto Maya".

I think Filipinos prefer eating a huge pork (lechon) rather than eating turkey. I have just eaten a piece of turkey. I am not sure if it still tastes good if I will be eating a lot. Yeah, a cooked ham is really the popular one here in the Philippines.

No! , I rather eat lots of chicken than turkey. I have eaten several times turkey already but seems like I don't like the taste, I don't know maybe of the one who cooked it, or the turkey's meat is just really don't taste good. Maybe also it is roasted turkey what I have tasted all the time that's why I don't appreciate the taste. Ham is already doing good as for our tradition and easy to cook too than turkey.

turkey is not familiar in the philippines compare to chicken or duck as one of the favorite food. seldom i see a turkey in our area you can count in your finger how many turkeys as roaming. but if this will be the centerpiece for christmas noche buena, i think some will like it but most don't.
