We all know political fights get ugly and is shame to the country. But the bitter rivalry between parties makes them expose the corruption happening in the state.Like recently karnataka chief minister B.S.Yeddayuraapa was shammed with scams and controversies and the nation got to know so much happening in the backlight. So the fights and rivalry in politics are useful aren't they?

Useful? Politicians? Whose benefit and whose gains are you talking about? It is all only for themselves never for people like you and me... It was a thing in the history books and ancient texts - politicians should work for the nation and blah blah blah.... today's indian politician is only - for himself/herself no one else.

Well its true that these politicians hoard our money but when will we see change.Maybe the change will be when these old geezers step down to make way for the youth

hi legspinismylife, I am not sure why I am so pessimistic when it comes to Indian politics (maybe I was a political science student at Graduation and after) but I do not see this happening any time. The reason is that these oldies would not die all at one time. The new Generation would keep getting in and the existing oldies would teach them getting corrupt and follow their footsteps. Example - A. Raja was a younger chap and going by the thought - youth will not get corrupt - he should never have done through the 2g and 3g scams - but it was under the inspiration and guidance of so many stalwarts that he did commit the crime. Now he was caught and exposed just because he was new and did not have experience in handling the thing. Same would happen with the new breed of youth who would become politicians. Cheers, theSids.

Fights is definitely wrong but a government should make up from different political party. Having one party dominating for too year will lead to complacency with no checks in place.
