I was just wondering, about this topic. I'm not on the brink of joining any organization or fraternity now, but I remembered when I was in that position. I always, ALWAYS second guessed myself. I am a kind of guy that becomes gives my all in any organization I join. I don't want to have regrets. So I would like to know: 1 What are your reasons for joining an organization, fraternity/sorority or club? 2 Are the type that give your all to your organization?

To be in organization is a nice thing to reach out for others for common goods. But i believe joining fraternity is not a good idea since most of the members entice to join for protection. It is motivated by fear sugar coated with other fraternal benefits.

I agree if the reason for joining is not right one should not join it. If you are joining for protection you ay be involved in more serious things that would require more protection. Out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak. But there are some fraternities that are solely for connections, I believe there are also fraternities in medical schools and law schools that are actually there to help students.

You are right. They are indeed helpful particularly when you are already practicing your profession, but there is also a downside of that if you are a type of person who stands on principle and your bros. are requesting something that you can't refuse. You know what i mean. Connection indeed is very important and it helps a lot. Better be joining an established clubs of which your purpose is serve best.
