I have missed some of you on mylot, got really busy the last 3 weeks and could not find time to breath or come on here. How was everyone's Thanksgiving? What is your family's tradition? Mine is my family stays at my parents the night before, we cook the turkey through the night, then wake up to a great smelling house and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Our tradition has always been that I cook Thanksgiving dinner for all of my in-laws (about 20). The only member of my family to come over was my father (my mother is deceased). Well, now that both my mother-in-law and my father have also passed away, I have started a new tradition--going away with just my husband and our two sons! Last year we went to the Poconos, and this year we really splurged--we went to Aruba! I have to say I REALLY like this new tradition and plan on continuing it every year we can! And I still make a small turkey for us when we get back from our adventures, so the kids still get their turkey. Your T-day celebration sounds great too-very similar to how we spent Thanksgiving growing up. It's the holiday I miss my mom the most.

Sounds like a wonderful blessed family event. We had ours one week earlier than usual. It was so much fun to have the Thanksgiving aroma earlier and we had such a wonderful time the kids and I as we are truly Thankful to have one another and grateful for one another. I have thought about you from time to time and hoped that sales at the chocolate shop picked up.
