last week we met a fire accident in our FLAT, main meter box board. we escaped from our open terrace to adjacent building's open terrace. i was injured on both of my legs. with the injury, i rang up to police, eb, and fire office. Police came after 10 mins. they didnt do the investigation on how the fire accident happened!. The accident took place around 3.15 pm. I rang up to EB by 2.00 pm and said them some sound is coming, pls come and check. they replied me to check with an electriican ( they wont come for these purpose); electriican can only say what was happening and reply to the eb. our bad time, we didnt get any electrician. it is a newly constructed flat. v occupied on Dec, 2008.

Oh my heavens, you could've lost your life! I hate it when people give you the run-around on serious matters like this. Do you have insurance at all?

I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced a fire incident in your apartment. You did well to escape your flat but it was awful that you hurt both your legs. I am surprised that your apartment was built in 2008 less than two years ago. There must have been a fault with your electrical meter box board. I can imagine the electricians might be scared to visit. I remember when my sister's mother-in-law had a fire in her apartment. Mary lit a candle and fell asleep. The candle made the curtains go up in flames. The fire quickly spread. Luckily a man near her flat managed to stop the fire. All her clothes in her wardrobe went black due to the soot. She lived in a hotel room for a couple of weeks. Then she got another flat to live in. Recently she moved into a sea front apartment.
