Do you belive in and practice Yoga as a means to reduce stress and tension?

Many Christian Churches in developed countries including U.S.A are now-a-days offering Yoga instructions to help reduce stress and tension while promoting sound health. Yoga is considered a powerful method that enables one in achieving spiritual goals in whatever religion or faith one believes in.It is reported that about 16 million Americans including many celebrities now practice Yoga. What are your belief and view points?

I believe that yoga is very good for your mood, body and spirit. Yoga can take away pain and stress. I used to have bad menstrual cramps and my mother showed me how to do a yoga stance that releives the pains and cramps. Yoga realligned the body and puts things back in its correct place. It really does work and I always feel better.

to me yoga has done wonders stress and tension are just small part of its advantages in the past I have heard Christians against it so if they are accepting yoga now, they will see there is nothing wrong with it

yoga is just 1 example. there are a lot of ways anyway! well i think no matter how u manage ur life, it still depends on how u "positively response". it's a matter of how u see things & how u let or not let it affect u! 1 common denominator would be.. --- up 2 u! (;

Of course, yoga is great for so many things and I think that has been proven over and over again. I personally do yoga and feel better because of it too.
