Do you think it's harder to get real information on Mylot?

I am noticing something on Mylot and i wonder if others notice the same thing. What i am noticing is that if i ask a question that is a matter of opinion, such as 'Do you think...", people tend to respond to my discussion with their opinion. But if i am asking for some real factual information, i am very lucky if i get even one response. For example, i posted 3 discussions regarding various bookkeeping courses. I only got one response to one of my discussions. Recently, i posted a question regarding publishing content on payloadz, and i got zero responses. Do you find that if you ask people their opinion you're much more likely to get responses here than if you're asking for factual information?

Because myLot is a discussion site and not a site for question and answers, I believe that if a topic asks for opinions rather than a factual answer then there is more scope for discussion. Often topics which just want a simple answer are deleted as there is nothing to discuss and the answer could have been found by making a search.

Oh, that makes sense. I didn't know that. Thanks.

I hope that will help you in creating your future topics. The more there is to discuss then the more chance of responses and comments and the chance for you to get involved too and earn more from it

I don't start too many discussions, but, from my experience, I got answers for both my oppinion asking topics and factual information asking topics. But I think the number of responses depends on the topic of the discussions. Imagine that I start a discussion about how to make an SQL querry or about how to solve an integral or a differential equation, how many responses will I receive? I'm afraid the answer is "zero". If the discussions are too technical, they won't get too many responses (if they get any ). But if the discussions are of general interest, there is a higher chance for them to receive a larger number of responses. So, I think we must adjust our discussions to the myLot comunity, don't you think?

Well what you're saying makes sense, but i'm not sure about that. For example my question about selling on Payloadz was not technical, and i believe payloadz is a popular webstite that people sell on, so i would think i would get a few responses, but i didn't get any. And i think it would be hard to adjust my questions to the mylot community, because there are so many different people on here.

Maybe you're right about Payloadz and it is a popular site, but I have never heared about it until now. And, of course, I haven't used it, so how could I answer to your discussions? Maybe there are many myLotters like me, and that's why you haven't received any responses yet.

ha ha-yes that's true. Everybody's got an opinion, right? But very few have real knowledge-ha ha. (I guess i'll include myself with that statement :) )
