and when you borrow, you just make ot better? please enlighten me as i am torn. I do believe that most people are borrowing ideas from others and does not make it obvious and make it even better, but i am still hoping(though ive never met one) that someone rare enough to be so original.

I think there are elements of originality in plenty of movies, books, and television programs. For example, there have been many time travel stories, but I don't think there's ever been a time travel story remotely like Primer. Pushing Daisies used resurrection, a fairly common theme in fiction, but put its own rules and twists on it. Visually, it was inspired by Amelie, but its look was unique for a television show. Basically, what I'm saying is that you'll probably never find something that doesn't have roots or connections to something. You'll just have to enjoy the bits and pieces of it that are original. Doings something new with an old idea is very interesting to me anyways.

I think there are still original people out there. Unfortunately, we honor those who are not original, merely "borrowing", so the true original voices don't get heard over the din of the rest. More often than not, we stifle the creativity of those who have truly unique viewpoints, telling them that their ideas are too strange.

Everything in this world is temporary or borrowed.
