Certain music brings back memories

Hearing music from my younger days tends to bring make all sorts of memories again. Some of the memories are rather good. Some of them a bit bittersweet. I think that my childhood was a different time, teenage years where music was changing for me and not for the better in some cases, and we get to where I am. Of course, it is interesting to listen to music that I remember coming out when I am growing up. Of course, there are times where I feel that the best music came out before I was even born, but that's just my take on things.

Yeah, me too. Only Most of the music that brings up memory for me is early 2000s music. It brings me back to high school, back when I would listen to the radio and wait for the top hits to be played. These days, I don't listen to the radio that much anymore, just my ipod. I find that I like that music better anyway.

Hello glowwy! Yes music certainly brings back any kind of memories. I think it's because composers are inspired by their real life experience. They can be considered as a story teller of our lives. Thats why when we listen to the songs some of us can relate, because we have gone thru or having in the situation itself. Have a good day!

yeah, music does. sometimes i just notice myself smiling in a public place with no other reason but the music i hear. my bf laughs at me when this happens.

Yeah, it is TRUE!!!! This happens to me ESPECIALLY when I think about my PAST SUMMERS... I create a RELATIONSHIP between SUMMER and SONG. For example, LAS KETCHUP-ASEREJE---------------MY SUMMER 2002 or SHAKIRA-WAKA WAKA----------This SUMMER 2010 (my holyday to the sea and the World Cup in South Africa!) And so on...

even though i'm still young,so i don't have had much experiences, piano songs always make me remember how good life was when i just played, i had no idea how tough the world was..

I have recently become more interested in "oldies" music from the eighties, nineties, etc. I don't know that I was having so much fun back then. But, this music does make me happy .. probably because it reminds of a time when I was more carefree and invincible - or so I thought. So I bought Michael Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston cassette tapes - yeah, I really like to bring it back, I still have a cassette player in my car.
