Guys, are you satisfied with what you have now? I mean, are you contented with how you are living right now, physically, emotionally and financially? have you noticed that we human have not contentment in life? We may be contented on how much we earn today but in other aspect like your social status, there are still lacking. Or maybe, though you live in a fancy life but still you feel that there is missing in your life. or still wanting more? Are you feeling this? or have you experienced this before? How about physically? are you one of those who believe that what God had given should not be changed? Or are one of those who believe what God had should be improved?

Hi onque! Unless we are contented with what we are, what we have, how we look we will never find contentment. But having said that I believe that there is always room for improvement for everything and that we should always strive for the best in what we do.

That's right. I think this is how we forsee life. If we look in the brighter side, we would not ask for more because what we have is always what we deserve. yes, improvement is just another factor for us to strive for the best. Nice thinking tomotomi!

I'm not at all satisfied with what i have now. Each and every person in this world is facing some kinds of problems. Problems are always with people. In my view spiritual life is the only way to get a real peace and fully satisfied life. If we chase the footsteps of Mahaveera Buddha, we can enjoy the real happiness in our life. But----how many are ready to sacrifice themselves for leading a spiritual life?

i totally agree! some may feel secured and comfortable based on their earnings and the friends they have but still lacking something they don't know why. Because they lack in communication with our Creator. Yes, peaceful in mind and healthy communication with God is one of the things that makes us contented. :)

I am not content with my current situation, as I have been through many losses this year. However each time I remember how uncontent I am it makes me want to strive higher to make the changes necessary. However, I have to say that I live with a wonderful man who makes me appreciate life more each day.

wow! you found your true happiness already. We may not be the best in other aspects of our lives but there is one thing that we cannot ask for more, in case it is your man who makes your life perfect. I am glad that you find what makes you happy and at least, i can say that there is one man less lonely here in our planet. :)

Whenever we reach our goal we get happy temporarily and yearn for more. That's human nature and that's part of being greedy. WE never get satisfied and we work hard to get our objective which gets higher and higher over time! Human nature, we need to accept it and try to deal with it and make sure we don't hurt anybody in achieving our goals and satisfying ourselves!

Yes, they say that is really a human nature to ask more than what we have. because we are wanting improvement and the best we can have. i also agree that in achieving our goals, it doesn't mean that we have to step on somebody's toes. we should always remember that accomplishments is measured on the lessons we learned in achieving it. Happy Mylotting!

Hi Contentment depends on persons attitude. What I feel is contentment in life should give you confidence and a happy smile on one's face but not make them to stop their efforts to come up in life. What will happen if I am satisfied with what I am earning today and I just keep doing the same thing, all of a sudden if something wrong happens What I accumulated may not be sufficient. We should work hard with out effecting the family relationships and keeping them happy and making some time for them and we need to work hard. Satisfaction is the key to success undoubtedly, but it should be in a constructive way to put much more efforts. Happy Living Calpro

maybe what you are trying to say is we should always consider what makes our family contented and not just by ourselves. I agree, i believe that we will not be truly happy if our beloved ones do not feel the same. :)

Hmm I am content with what I have now. Besides, I have the freedom to make some improvments or changes if it's necessary. I love simplicity. :) Delighting in the pleasure of being with friends and family remind me of who truly I am and what is truly important to me. The more content I am with myself and my relationships, the more I will be able to extend the reach of that sense of security when I am standing in a situation alone. My feelings of well-being begin first internally, and then expand to encompass my loved ones, and finally everyone I meet. Being content with myself and my relationships allow me to remain centered and grounded. :)

Well i guess, you are one of the lucky persons who is not asking for more than what they have. who sees the beauty and security of simplicity. Lucky for you that you are able to grasp what the Creator only allows you to have with arms wide open. :)

Generally speaking, it is hard to be happy with your life if you focus on the ways you are not content. There will always be areas of our life that could be better. We can always wish for better friends, more friends, more love, more money, better living conditions, a smaller nose, more income, better health, more success. And we often do this. It is important to focus on the many things we do have and the things that are right and be thankful for those. On the flip-side, discontentment can be a good thing. When I am discontented with my job, I may be motivated to look for another. When I am not satisfied with my home, maybe I will be motivated to improve it. This drive that comes out of being discontent can be a good thing, but it must be balanced with contentment as well.

I agree. Discontentment can be considered a good thing if what we wanted is an improvement. improvement in a way that we are also taking steps to make it true. Yes, this is a motivation for us to take bolder and bigger steps in our lives. :)

hi cher913! you will then never win because you never try! :) i mean, there is no harm in trying. life is a cycle, and there are times that we will be on top. but how will you be on top if you are not brave enough to try? :)

I would honestly tell that I am not contented and happy on the things that I have. I can't feel that because of the environment that I am living in where it is so stressful. It is now hard for me to find the real happiness. I am only happy if I am with my boyfriend but other than that no more.

I think you are speaking of yourself? LOL, joke... I am content but wanting improvement... I do not bemoan my financial worries, it is the only unsatisfying part of my life now...I admit I'm not satisfied but I am working to make it better, but I think I'm blessed than most people...so I am conditioning my mind to make do and be content as I know that I can elevate it one day... If I ever feel not contented, I just try thinking of the people in Africa, those who are dying of hunger, and then I always feel ashamed, because, see? compared to them, I'm having an easy life...

That's right. maybe for us to see how lucky we are, we must think our brothers and sisters in Africa who suffer from hunger. We mylotters, are fortunate enough because we have time to spare here in the internet while people in Africa doesn't even time to spend eating because they lack from food. thanks for replying!
