Mystery seems to be a good one. Write a book that grabs the readers attention and doesn't let go.

Hi comment_please its a very good idea to write a book. I suggest book of either a gripping murder mystey or a funny category. Writing about the daily mundane life in a very funny and humorous way too is a great read. All the best for your writing adventures :)

i prefer reading fiction because it is more fun to read. i would suggest for you to write about what you are most knowledgeable about. look back at your background and experience, and see if there is an idea that would make a good story out of it. then, fictionalize it and have fun working on your story. another suggestion is to think about your favorite authors and novels. and get ideas from them to create your own story. your favorites usually will inspire you to write because you will aspire to be like them, or at least try to come as close to their style as you can with your own style.

I am writing a book. It is a childrens fiction book along the lines of the borrowers or the littles but with a little more grown up adventure feel to it. I am about finished with all my research and am close to actually begining the story. This type of book seemed to do quite well for JK Rowling and JRR Tolkien. Good luck to you.

It all depends on what you are passionate about. What genre do you love to write about? Do you like mystery, adventure, romance, action and adventure, horror/thriller, etc? Have you ever published or written a book before? Just write what you love to write! :) There are lots of books out there that have been written and only a few have caught the masses' eyes. If you want to write about something trendy, why not try writing books similar to those written about Vampires, Werewolves and Witches/Wizards? Good luck with your book! :)

something you love, a subject that you are very good at and something that you master i'm writting my book and i believe it must be with passion, i couldn't choose a topic, i think i have really want to write about something with all my heart but if it's about a subject more to sale, then it really needs to be something that you are a master of :D

I think you should write about something different and not expected. The key is to come up with a new genre. Vampires and Wizards have taken over. I would love to get addicted to a new series about a fantasy land or island. Think The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe meets Lost. Good luck with your book!
