Love me, hate me!

Practically,we all love ourselves that's why we make certain and purposeful ways to make life more meaningful and beautiful. What we love about ourselves? Certainly, we can only answer that alone, there are a lot of aspects that we are proud of. But, I cannot hide the fact that I have some bitter feelings (at times) towards my own self. I become guilty sometimes for hating my own individuality, this hatred comes from not achieving a certain goal, or encountering failures.

Wow! I just told somebody today that i hate myself and he told me i shouldn't do that. There's more to my life that I should enjoy compared to his and somehow that made me feel better. When we fail or when we get frustrated, we sometimes hate ourselves, but then when we look at other people's problem and realized that it's worse than ours, somehow that made us feel better.

I was once told that there is a fine "line" between love and hate. I think we can love attributes about ourselves, and the same thing can be said for "hate." I "hate" the fact that I am not a good singer. Loving and hating attributes does not mean that we hate ourselves. If we haven't achieved a goal in the set time that we gave ourselves, that just means we need to reassess or revisit the goal, create a new time line and forge forward. What would have happened if Benjamin Franklin gave up on creating electricity? he was still successful and kept his goal until he succeeded!
