Who do you think we need to sign in the summer to help complete our squad?

I am a big Manchester United fan. Have been for over 15 years and have been to old trafford over 15 times. I think this season we have been under performing, yet somehow manage to find ourselves top of the league, and only now starting to kick into form. As we usually perform better in the second half of the season im fairly confident we will be in the title race at the end of the season, and could win it. However I dont think we will win the champions league and dont think we have a good enough squad to compete. Who do you think we need to move out and move in this summer to help us compete on all fronts again? Personally I dont think we are very far away. Owen will leave in the summer and Welbeck will come back. I dont think we need to mess with the strikers. Many people dont think Berbatov is good enough. I disagree. I think he is very good and does a lot for our team creatively, especially as we do not have a creative midfielder (except Scholes). In the midfield i think we should sell Carrick and Gibson. They both have shown glimpses, but not enough to keep them. Scholes and Giggs are on their way out as is Hargreaves. I think we need 3 central midfields. 1 holding/destroyer, 1 creative and 1 box to box. Along the lines of schweinsteiger, veloso and maybe a youthful one in Henderson from sunderland. I think the defence is solid, maybe we need a right back, but i think Rafael will come good. Id also like to see another goalkeeper come in. Preferably De Gea from Athletico. In total: 1 GK, 3CMs + maybe 1RB What do you guys think

Mmm, there are many creative midfielders that could be useful for manchester. Juventus Claudio Marchisio would be agood option, also Bastian Schwansteiger or Fernando Gagocould be other possible solution. For the goalkeeper, Sir Alex should really consider signing uruguayan Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera as he is playing quite well in Lazio.

hello friend, Nice to see a fellow Man United fan here on mylot. Yes, our season hasn't been as we would have liked but then, we're still as good as top of the table and that is the hallmark of great sides. They might not be at their best but still they will be at the top or thereabouts. coming to the transfer window, well, there is some scope for new signings, given the age of Giggs and Scholes. Michael Carrick has a lot of favor in Old Trafford and to some extent, I do agree that we don't need to sell him rightaway. He's yet to set the pitch on fire but then in patches he is good and at times he has come to our rescue in important games. Nani is improving day by day and Park is almost as good as anyone in important games. Add to that Darren Fletcher and Gibson(who has shown glimpses, but way too inconsistent) and we have a decent looking squad. We also have Tom Clevery out on loan who is the next big name from the Academy. Someone like Schwinstieger would be welcome though. I don't think Sir Alex would go for a midfield overhaul and buy more than 1 established midfielder. Defensively, Smalling is settling in nicely and so are the Da Silva twins. Johnny Evans needs to mend his ways right away or he'll be out. One more defender would add solidity to the combination of Evra, Vida and Rio. About goalkeepers, with Lindegaard already in, I think De Gea or Neuer or Sketlenberg.. any of them should take care of our goalkeeping for a long long time to come.
