So a while back Titanic was officially announced as going through the 3D-ing process by James Cameron and will be released April 13, 2012 for 100 year anniversary of Titanic's sinking. As I was never able to go see this movie in the theaters originally, I am happy that I will get the chance now, I wont miss it this a second time around! Anyway here is my question, do you feel like it is a good idea to make this movie 3D? Personally I don't like 3D movies and generally I don't think its worth 5 extra dollars to watch a movie with "realistic" effects and bubbles thrown at my face. That's just my opinion. So Titanic 3D a good or bad thing? Should they have just left it as what it was? Will the same die hard fans (lets just assume females, since I don't know any guys who admit to liking titanic) get their boyfriends and husbands to return to the theater's one more time for the movie that wouldn't end the first time they watched it? The last question wasn't serious, jut thought that would be funny to throw in there...

that should be intersting athough it really catch my attention action and scifi movies that are coming in 3d i'm just conserned about what they say that 3d are causing depression, anyone know if that is true? there were tons of comments when avatar was released about people feeling bad and sick, the depression wouldn't go away after seeing it in the theathers, i didn't watch that movie yet because of that

I don't buy it because I watched Resident Evil in 3D when it came out and had no such side effects. In fact I was happy and carefree for days afterward. Maybe it was the movie instead of the 3D action. Also I remember the first movie ever shown on tv in 3D and it was Cabin Boy. I had no ill effects from that movie either.

Well, when I watch a 3D movie, I prefer ones that aren't drama. I mean you see enough of that in real life that I don't need a special process to go see it. :) Thanks for posting this though. My best friend loves Titanic, maybe I can go take her out to see it on 3D for her birthday. :)

You are exactly right about not needing specialized drama. That made me laugh XD... and no problem :)

I never watch movie in 3D yet... I know there are a lot out there but I just dont like the Idea. I hate to wear glass while im enjoying my movie. I know that it is something new and cool to see something right up close but I just dont know why I can't take it.I feel like something holding my head and no freedom or I just feel the stress over the 3D glasses :). Are you kidding me? $5 more to watch 3D... just high definition is good enough for me already

Yes, well I don't believe you are missing out XD I will say that the glasses I used to go see the movie with big blue Indians (Avatar) were no where near as annoying as the red and blue ones that needed to be used years previously. They were like normal glass with the black shades, so they were kind of cool. I still got a headache though... Oh well, you and I will just spend the extra 5 bucks we saved and spend on the 10$ popcorn and drink lol

Titanic fans might go and watch it on 3D , for the special effects when the sinking's about to happen , that's a real boost on 3D. And the surrounding sound of waves , seeing the ship for what it really was .. would be a good experience. I'd say highly recommended for 3D lovers and of the movie Titanic.
