I was watching a tv show a while back I believe it was called myths & medicine. They would ask a question to people who would walk by. Such as "Carrots improve your eye sight. Is that a Myth or Medicine?" It was funny how many people believe these types of myths. Do you know of a silly myth such as this one?

I know a few of them... like drinking from someone else's glass or using someone else's fork will spread the flu... or eating something that fell on the floor will make you sick... or that smoking reduces risks of getting alzheimer's disease... I've read all those somewhere and I know all of them are not true... my favorite: babies develop better when they sleep alone... they are actually healthier when they sleep with their mothers!

lol....I don't think it's the carrot itself, but the vitamin A in the carrot that is changed into beta carotene. Beta carotene is good for eye sight. Medicine or science. The one myth that I have heard and is totally false is that if you raise your arms above your head, you will tie a knot in the umbilical cord!

I haven't heard of this, but I know it's untrue. Seeing as how when I was pregnant I lifted my arms up above my head many times and nothing happened lol.

yeah its a damn myth now..coz you wont find fresh vegies in the market, you will find frozen ones all over the market, but that's not good for health conscious persons as they don't contain vitamins or proteins like the fresh ones..and moreover the vegetables are all hybrid now a days, they wont be having any kind of health stuffs in it..
