If such a condotion arose I will definitely go for Yuvraj Singh. It is very difficult to judje person by only seeing some of his few performances. On the other hand eventhough Yuvraj is having some bad time for him now I am damn sure that he can do much greater innings in the world cup for team India. For every player there will be some bad times.Just imagine the same situation for Yuvraj also .I am sure that he will come back powerfully.

well,i agree with you sajujohn.yuvraj for me anyday.very few people can match with yuvraj in strokeplay,he has brilliant hitting power, only problem with him is intensity & focus,he tends to lack it somewhat.mostly looks casual and gets out playing casual shot.

Kohli may be performing now but Yuvraj will still be a first choice to me. Yuvraj with his devastating hitting can be way more dangerous than Kohli and he has done it in past. Why keep a tested one away for just an average player.

We can only compare these both players in few matches because Kohli dint play as much a Yuvraj has. Kohli has played some awesome innings and is at his best form but on the other hand, Yuvraj is maybe one of his bad patches. But then even best players have bad patches. Also Yuvi is senior, and has been match winner many times in past. So I think I will go with Yuvraj.

Very difficult question to answer. Kohli had proved his skills and he is in a massive form. Once Yuvi plays wel then the match is 100% sure for India,he also have experience, also bowls . Anyway I will go with Kohli I feel this situation will not occur. The Indian bationg order will be like... Viru Gauti Sachin Yuvi. Kohli Raina. Dhoni.

as we have used the word consistency quiet lot, now Virat seems to have lost his consistency, just before the big tournament. and yuvi is my option when compare these two, simply because he is a allrounder. and he is experieced player also, now yuvi is also performing fairly, and we cant avoid him when he is playing well. another peculiarity between these two is that, both these has been picked into the indian team from the under -19 performance of these players in their under -19team.

Yuvraj will definitely make it to world cup squad and play ahead of Virat Kohli in world cup opener. If he consistently performs below his mark then he may be replaced with Kohli if he does not find a place along with Yuvraj. At the moment I think Kohli is not in the same class as Yuvraj. He is talented no doubt about it.

I will go with Yuvaraj with only reason of his past heroics and can bowl as well along with his big hitting with bat. All Yuvaraj Singh need is good solid knock in one match in coming days. One more thing is that many teams will be worrying if he is on the crease because he is explosive batsman and match winner. Kohli in my view is not that big hitter compared to Yuvi but he is better player against spinners compared to Yuvi. The main worry that selectors would face can they take the risk of picking up Yuvraj without good batting form. In bowling Yuvaraj is doing his duty but in batting he has not passed the 60 runs mark from long time. Before selection for World Cup 2011 happens, yuvaraj must score a big hundred this will not only give selectors some confidence even public too will love him coming into good form.

I want to see them both in the squad. Both are eligible. They are the best middle order batsmen in the team. Yuvraj will fire in the upcoming squad. No doubt. Kohli is consistently playing well these days and scoring big runs. There will be no doubt of their selection. They are automatic choices. Both can able to steer the team home by chasing or piling up runs to chase

Hi Siliguri, Indian Cricket is not my forte but going by the recent performances and some from the past, I do think that I would stand in for Virat Kohli. Yuvi is a proven failure in all important matches that India has played in and Kohli on the other hand is a new guy with tons of talent and proven records. A right choice at the moment. But I think The ACID TEST for him would be the SA series and lets see how he does on the fast tracks of SA. But as the WC 2011 is in Indian sub-Continent, Kohli has an edge if I have a voice. Cheers, theSids.
