Double punishing our children.

I dont believe that it is right for a child to be punished two times for the same misbehavior. First, this could lead the child to feel as though there is nothing left, and second, it could just lead to more bad behavior. I truly believe that by punishing a child one time or taking one thing should be justified enough. Why do parents feel the need to go crazy and over punish? Thoughts?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. My children are all grown, but if they did something they knew very well was against the rules, I punished them in according to what they had done. Only one time. I did not continually punish my child for a mistake. Once is quite enough.
