Simple things that can make you happy!

Most of the time, it is those simple things that makes us happy. Like a simple hi from an old friend. Simple food that you haven't ate for a long time now (like banana split!) or a simple smile from your crush. And so on. What are some simple things that always makes you happy?

Well for me is getting up in the morning and still be breathing and pretty much alive makes me happy! Let's face it we are not going to be here for a very long time. The second thing that makes me happy is thinking about somebody I used to know and unfortunately we can't see each other anymore. And thinking about those big blue eyes of him make me happy even though he is not around me anymore.

I am a very simple person. Anything can make me happy. Even seeing a few kittens with its mother also will crave a smile on my face. Anything that is good and you can see me smiling!

I simple phone call from a old friend or family member. A knock at the door and your neighbor brings you a meal she prepared.

I'm so moody, it's kind of hard to think of something that always makes me happy. But, generally speaking, I'm usually my happiest when I communicate with certain people ... about three come to mind. Sometimes, just being outside in the sunshine brings a great lift to my day. Riding in my car, listening to music, alone also can make really content. And, overall, I just like when things seem to be going right.

I am happy when those around me are happy too. A smile on their faces means such a lot.

This is so true. Surround yourself with people with positive energy and it'll rub off. But we also should be careful because it could go both ways. Sometimes when one is too depressed, seeing other people so happy just makes one feel more miserable.

damned_dle, in my opinion, watch a movie, read a good book or article, cook for myself instead of eat in restaurant, friends' call or message, everything can make me happy. :)

The simplest one is a smile, the complicated one is a hi from a long-time enemy.

Oh yes, simple pleasures are the best. I love the silly things my cats do. They make me happy. Then when they purr and rub it makes me even more happy. When my cell phone rings and the caller ID has my boyfriends' name - that, too makes me happy. Watching a family of ducks swimming in a pond with Daddy Duck in the lead, followed by Mommy Duck and the brood of babies. Then when a little ripple of water comes and the ducks start bobbing up and down, I think that is one of the cutest, most adorable, simple and precious things that always puts a smile on my face and makes me happy.

I do believe that it is the simple things in life that can make us happy. It doesn't have to be something huge. It just has to be something that brings our heart joy. For me, it might be affection from my family or it could even be my favorite chocolate bar!

a lick from my doggie makes me happy! a hearty laugh with my former colleagues after not seeing each other for a long time makes me happy.

Waking up in the morning, being with my family and knowing no matter how hard life gets, they are always there with me.

that's the very idea of abundance... finding simple joys (and even happiness) in the simple things around us. i like the sight and sounds that greet me every time i wake up in the morning. i never fail to check on the flowers in bloom and those about to. the sounds of birds chirping their way in the garden... with the occasional bump that you would hear along the way. (the bump sound means, there's another bird that has lost its way and crashed into my office glass doors. no bird was truly hurt actually. but it was so funny at the time. hehe) my cup of tsokolatte con agaricus always makes me happy. steaming or lukewarm... it always does the trick... knowing you are drinking something you like and healthy at the same time with the seratonin-like effect that produces that happy feeling. hehe connecting with family, loved ones and friends over phone calls, text messages, online chats and in person... makes my day more complete. sharing your day, your plans, sharing smiles and laughters, swapping stories... hehe it makes the whole experience richer and more meaningful. when somebody thanks you and appreciates you and means it really... that can really make my heart big and my smile bigger. it feels wonderful to be able to help in simple ways and make other people happy along the way. and the food... ohhhh yessss! having your favorite food and those you haven't eaten in years... wow! what a lovely treat! lol i had this penchant for carrot cake that i helped bake when we were staying at a friend's house in cambodia. i can't forget how luscious looking the cake was with a generous amount of nuts that i'm really nuts about like walnuts, macadamia, almonds and cashews. so mouthwatering right now. hehe i'm having happy thoughts right now. thank you. hehe

Oh yes, you are absolutely right. Simple things, and yet, very valuable and meaningful things. For instance, a phone call from a family member or a friend can make one feel so happy and encouraging, especially when one is living alone. Knowing that, I would also give a call to friends and relatives whenever I have the time to do it. I know that will make them very happy !

A simple thing that makes me happy right now is that I seem to be able to find the words to write today! A mood I haven't had in such a long long time. (You can see a discussion I even started about it last month.) Another thing is finding these curious little creatures called hermit crabs inside our own house. (I also put up a discussion about it, lols, at the shameless plug.) Lastly, I'll be spending this Christmas with my loved one which didn't happen last year. Yay!
