Australia did well to reach the score of 268 after they were reduced to 29 for 3. Their ever dependable Michael Hussey and Watson helped to steady the ship and then Haddin and Johnson consolidated the innings. At one time it looked they will be bundled out under 150. Tomorrow early morning pitch will again be lively when Australia can cause some damage to England. Overall first day belonged to England how they build on it remains to be seen.
