China starts its state-sponsored, Twitter-like, Red Microblog

As reported in various tech blogs, China has set up it's state-sponsored version of Twitter called the Red Microblog. Kanye West reportedly has the most number of followers as of the last update. Will this bode well to microbloggers? Personally, wow, can we say anything else by using that platform except the stuff that might ruffle some "red" feathers?
