Didn't know that but glad it is staying! I stopped watching AMC cause it was just so stupid, redundant and repetitive I just couldn't take it anymore. The "who killed...." and the 6 month long trials and the baby switching and who Erica is with now...they need new writers! They are just writing hte same things over and over.
I watched OLTL...but same thing...just got to repetitive and the "who's the daddy" storylines got out of control..no one in that towns knows who they are really related to! Then the baby switching and now another murder. Good grief...isn't there more to life in that town than those things?
GH since 1969 - but have stopped pretty much. Now that they have brought back Brenda...I don't even tune in. On days I do.. I mute through everything but Jason and Sam. Robin and Patrick thing is so old and boring and now Michael and his "girlfriend" and Luke is pathetic. nik is boring and has no course in life and Liz is back to whine nad complain. There just aren't any good storyline. I mean, here Sonny is the head of the mob...a nd all he does is find women to populate Port Charles. It's been years since he's done anything "mob" related.
So I am glad Y&R is still around. Although they are starting to get redundant. I mean, Diane has been in town a short time and already been with 2 men. Daisy comes back with the usual "who's the daddy..you are" and the fighting and swaping over the baby...I hate that. But there's still a bit more going on than others. If they will just let Adam GO!!!! Die, leave town, whatever...just go! It is so bad that they made him nearly blind few months ago, but now he just parades around town and the country like nothing's wrong. Never see him with a cane or dog or anyone helping him. Nothing against the blind, but they have made him a mockery of the blind. MAke him blind or not..but don't make him blind with perfect vision! He is so blind he has to have a braille keyboard but can see perfectly an 8x10 glossy and identify someones shoes and purse from the blurry picture!

No aratistry, you haven't missed much on the others! Same storylines, and often same people in the same storyline!!!!
It is cool that Tristin Rogers (ex Robert Scorpio of GH) is on Y&R. I hope the writers do him justice!
I bet the baby is not Daniels. I bet Daisy had someone switch the DNA (VERY common practice on soaps!) and this will come to light when dainel finally accepts the fact that the baby is his and takes the baby from Daisy and she retaliates and says it isn't his...and they do another DNA and sure enough...it won't be daniels! Again...BORING!!!

....Hi again coffeebreak, You may just be right about Daniel dthe "baby". Tell me who is Tristin Rogers playing on Y & R? Is it Nina's son? If that is him, I think he is one of the cool, interesting ones on the show I hope he gets a liver. Eric Roberts gave the show a little more color as well. Sorry about the delay in answering you. ...Hi there coffeebreak, Thanks for giving me on overview of the other soaps so I don't feel as though I am missing too much. I can't stand Adam, and you are right how do you go to New Orleans, walk around, find the hotel where Sharon is staying when sighted people can't find her as fast. It makes no sense, he can see people across rooms, whatever. Diane and Nick make no sense. I don't want to get gross, but how did Daisy get pregnant with a man who was out cold??? Y & R has been number one for a long time, but sometimes the crazy things that go on challenge your sensibility. It is a soap but? Thanks for your response, happy holidays.

I used to love this show. They removed it abruptly from here without warning about 3 years ago...just as there was lots of excitement. I was shattered. Luckily we still have DOOL . I don't know if they will ever bring it back. The show they replaced it with was a huge flop and folded in 3 months. Can you believe it??? GRR.

Hi artistry, i am well thank you and hope you are too. I so agree with you on those program favourites that finish the season and go into break time....like now. We have a few good programs that fill the gaps but mostly the shows are rubbish and re-runs....too, too sad. Best wishes to you and yours...you've been missed.

...Hi again MsT, Thank you so much for your nice thought. I'm around. I just fool around with other things. It snowed so bad here the other day, the Governor put the state in emergency status, everything was shut down. It finally stopped and now it's sunny and a lot of it is melting. Winter is not my season of the year, the snow is beautiful but that's it. "o). I'm a Scrooge in the winter. Take good care. Happy New Year.

...Hi MsT, Hope you are doing well. That's the pits when something like that happens because in my mind there are not that many continuous programs that you like, and when you have one and they end it you just want to scream. I even get upset when I like a program and it has to have a break until the next season. There is one here called "Breaking Bad", I found it by accident and have gotten completely hooked and it stopped for a program vacation. Soon it will be back hopefully, but you feel deprived, it's a shame to get so engrossed in fiction but it's fun and entertaining. "o) Thanks for your comment. Happy holidays. Take good care.

I am glad that they are not going to cancel the show. It is the only daytime show that I try to watch faithfully. I find that I have never really gotten into any of the others. I do occasionally watch Bold and Beautiful, but I prefer Y&R. The only complaint that I have about the show now is the writing team. It just seems as though the new storylines are not great and the older ones are getting old!!

......Hi there carol, You and I are fairly identical in our thoughts about the Y & R show. This is the soap that I try to watch daily or catch up with on the weekend. The writers have gone off on a loop, a half blind man finding Sharon in New Orleans, when sighted people had a hard time. Now it seems they are going to have Daniel's baby if it is his, given to Billy and Victoria, here we go again. Get's old. The other soaps are boring moreso to me whenever I try to watch. The Bold and the Beautiful only has one woman in town that everybody wants, Ms Brooke, so I left that one behind. Hope there are some new writers who get involved on Y&R or the old writers find a few new ideas to spark it up. Thanks for your comment. Take care.

I really like the Victoria and Billy(Villy) story and hope they keep that going for a long time; it would really help the show. Where they are having problems is with the Adam story lines and him not having gotten punishment for the terrible things he did. I just don't see how they can make it to where he did not kill Hightower as if what he did to Ashley(in effect killing her baby) and stealing Sharon's and Nick's weren't enough to make him beyond redemption. They did get a three year extension so they will probably be around at least that long. Perhaps by then the economy will have improved enough to help.

...Hi there stealthy, First of all I apologize for not answering for so long, sorry about that. Of all the couplings on Y & R I love Victoria and Billy together. Billy is the cutest thing, his personaliity is playful and I have to believe that a good part of it is really him. Adam is so dark to me, I don't know what draws Sharon to him, it's very strange not to mention the baby stealing thing, weird. Who did kill that man? I don't like it that the murder is unresolved but pointing to Adam. Hate the show now and then but totally watching it each day or catching up on the weekend when they recap the week. I am glad to hear they are not being canceled. Since I have had 2 other soaps I used to watch been cancelled over the last 2 years. I have always loved Y&R. Guess it is one of my favorite soaps. I just can not believe the way Sharon is acting toward Adam right now. But, I still love the soap.

...Hi sharla, You share my feelings about the Sharon and Adam coupling. First of all he is certainly not appealing, he has this snarly personality that is off putting, always has some kind of a mental grudge going on. He stole Sharon's baby, made Ashley miscarry, may have killed that other man. What in the heck does she see that is redeeming? He is vile as far as I am concerned, but the writers want to go with it. Now we have Nick and Diane??? Who next? And what is Ashley's daughter trying to do, seems as though she came to seduce her mother's boyfriend or something, I hope not, too bizarre that would be. I watch Young and the Restless and so does my cat Smyles (he is male and loves Victoria). I am glad it will be extnded three more years. I just hope that they do not bring back Daisy or Ryder. I also hope that the writers are not planning on getting Kevin and Jana back together. I think it is terrible that Jana is faking her illness just to get Kevin back and that she was dumb enough to change her testimony about Daisy and how Daisy had no involvment with the kidnapping. hope that Daniel comes out of this alive and that Nick gets full custody of Faith. I hope Adam rots in jail and that Sharon has very limited visitation rights.

Oh my gosh really? I had no idea that Y&R was on the chopping block. I have followed that soap all the time it has been on and love the twists and turns this soap does. Its the only soap I am faithful to anymore.
General Hospital I am tired of the way they talk and all about crime lords so nixed it.
Used to watch All my children and it just got boring.
Occasionally I will still watch One life to live, but guess I figured I only have one life to live also and did not need to be tied to the TV every day LOL
So my one soap I do watch is Young and Restless
Sure am glad they will be here another 3 years!

...Hi marie, I am a faithful watcher of the show. I get angry sometimes when things just seem too crazy, but I still hang in there. You gave me a good laugh, thanks. There were rumors around for a while that they might cancel the show, they have had money problems which is why some of the people just disappear and you wonder why like JT and Mac, off to Washington and Esther, saving money I guess. So at least they have three more years, it has been the number one show they say for some twenty years I think I read. You can go to soapoperadigest on the web and read news about it and other soaps.
