Hey people! I learned about this "Special Deposit Account" on BPI and I just wanted to share it. It gives a net interest of 2+% a month(gross of 4+%) for a minimum deposit of 50k php. I just think that it's definitely better than time deposits, since it gives more. Do you know any better investment program? Could you please share? :D

I also haven't encountered this "Special Deposit Account" on BPI yet but I'll definitely look into it considering what you said. So far, I am only aware of the Maxi-Saver type of savings account on BPI which gives 1.325% interest with an additional 1% (p.a./once a year) if ever you don't withdraw within a month. I've been told it requires a minimum of Php 75,000 deposit though which is preeeetty steep, but the interest rates go up the higher the money so it looks like a profitable deal either way. Anyway thanks for the heads-up! It's obvious now that I really don't know a lot about our banks after all, gaga.

Yes! Do try it! I just stumbled upon it by accident, I was just looking for ways to make my money make more money and TADAAAA! Upon inquiring in BPI that was the first thing they recommended. I think there more investment opportunities but so far this the most risk free since it is handled by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. If something goes wrong, they'll just print you your money. Crazy isn't it? I wish you well on your financial plans!
