will you play in the snow

In England we have quite a lot of snow and it is bringing the child out of the adults. We have all been building igloos or snowmen and yes pretending that it is helping the children building them but really doing it our way lol Do you find the weather brings the child out in you either the snow with snowballs or the rain with jumping in the puddles or holding up an umbrellas and singing that old song just singing in the rain.

Sometimes it's too hot though, especially during the summer, intense heat.

When I was a child I loved snow and I loved sledding, snowball fights, snowmen and all those things. Now I don't feel the same way about snow. I still think that is is really beautiful when the trees and everything else are covered by snow, and I sometimes take pictures that I send to friends from other parts of the world (places where there is no snow) Unfortunately there are also bad things about snow. When I opened the car in this morning it was minus 20 degrees celsius. I feel like I am in a freezer It takes a lot of extra time to remove the snow and the ice from the car, there wa even ice on the inside of the windows. At the moment it takes a while to open mailbox, because it is frozen. I have to use a lighter to get rid of some of the ice and that takes time as well. But the worst thing is the slippery streets which makes driving dangerous.

it is lovely when the snow is fresh and just fallen but when ice or slush yes it is a different feeling. I think your country deals with the snow much better than over here in England as here the whole country near enough comes to a halt with trains and planes all coming to a halt.

unfortunately, we don't have snow here during winter except in some areas specifically designed as a tourist attraction place to play snow... and i hardly go there even during winter because i don't know how to ice-skate... :-) anyway, it will be lots of fun if we can have snow here everywhere during winter... then we can play with it like a child just like what you describe in your post... take care and have a nice day...

you will have to learn to skate. it is fun too

Hey, I was thinking the same the other day, I'm 20 years old and have been snowball fighting for almost a day after all the snow that fell last friday. I have been playing with guys and girls older than me(friends of mine) that are 27 or even over 30 years old and we were all laughing and playing like kids and so where some people who got it by us during the fight. I also managed to play with some older friends, just grab some snow, press it, make it a ball and throw it to one of them that's all it takes to have a group of grown up having fun like kids. I love it

and dont you find that people seem to get on better too and have a laugh together.

Hello MAllen, We had a little snow here this week, but it melted during the last two days. I love to play in the snow even if it is cold. Though I can't stay outside for long when it's cold and wet, because of my allergy, which gets worse in this conditions. So, yes, the snow brings the child out of me, but I can't say the same about the rain. I don't like when it's raining, especially in the winter days.

glad the snow does though

Playing in the snow is a lot fun. Even adults can enjoy snow like children. Throwing snowballs is also fun. You can even make snow angels in the snow. Snow gives us happiness and joy.

there is nothing nicer than to see snow angels in the snow!

Playing in the snow is really a lot of fun! I especially love sled riding!! I haven't gone sledding in years though. I also love making snowmen and snow angels. I think that playing in the snow makes you feel like a kid again. Unfortunately here in NY, where I live, we don't have enough snow to play in. We only have an inch or two out there right now. Hopefully we get some more this week, before Christmas!

I'd love to play in the snow if given the chance. It doesn't snow here so i guess i'm outta luck. :) when i was a kid, me and friends scraped off a used styrofoam to simulate snow. I think that's what they do in movies but anyway, we played with it under an afternoon sun. We went home all sweaty with styrofoam particles sticking on our skin and shirt. Not to mention the pieces that hung on our hair. Lol.
22 Dec 10
parcels are full of that stuff now and you are right how it sticks to everything! I hope one day you get to play in the real snow

I loathe the snow. I really loathe it these days. I really liked it when I was a kid. That was before I had to dig myself out to leave the house. Trust me, after shoveling it for hours and hours on end or even clearing it off with a snow blower, you'd begin to feel just a tad bit resentful of the snow. At least I am and I'm sure many others would agree.
22 Dec 10
oh i know that there is a down side the slush and the ice and not getting to the shops or out of your road, we have had all that this week but I think that it is because it is near Christmas that it brings the child out of us

I hate snow! I can't stand it! It's cold and makes driving a nightmare. I have to shovel the driveway and put salt down. It also gets in my shoes. Snow definitely does not bring the child out in me. Rain is a different story. When the cold rain hits my neck I start to run and scream and act a fool. This is especially true if I've been drinking. Rain is fun, snow is not!
22 Dec 10
glad one or the other brings the child out of you though. next time take your brolly and do a dance and think of me lol
