I bought my husband a cell phone for Christmas.

I know he'll have to start paying the bill, but he has a free month which is great, and I'll get a free month out of the deal as well. That gave me plenty of incentive to pick one up. Not to mention that the cost of the phone was far less than what I paid for mine originally, which is good. But he keeps leaving his phone at home when he really needs to bring it to work with him, I tell him that daily, but he never listens. It's a good thing that his monthly plan is quite cheap, it makes up for the lack of him bringing it with him. But this meant that we could drop the rather expensive home phone, which was useless to us anyways, and it was just a burden and needed to go. The cell phone is far better, if he takes it with him, at least he can communicate with me when he's out, so it really helps us. He hasn't had a cell phone in a long time, so he has to get used to using one again, which shouldn't be too hard since this one is extremely basic.

If it is something that will help you guys out it is a great idea. I use a simple phone and it is all we need. I do not think I will be giving up my home phone, but I know that it is a good plan for a lot of people.

That's a nice gift. I love my cell phone it goes every where with me. I'm always texting on it the most. I'm sure he'll get used to it, may take him sometime but its easy to learn. Their a great gift. We recently just got ride of are home phone as well was way to expensive. Everyone has a cell phone now and our whole family has verizon so we can all communicate for free which is nice as well. This is the greatsst invention.

Giving your husband a cell phone for Christmas is really a great gift. Since I live along, if I needed one, I would have to buy it for myself. My phone is a smartphooe, which is much more than just a basic phone, as I can do a lot with it like browse the internet, take pictures, use gps, wifi, and many others. I really do like my phone and I am glad I bought it. I am waiting for it to be updated now though, as then it will have Android 2.2. Take care, and have a very Merry Christmas.

I think the gift is always very god as it involves emotions of the the person who is giving it to the person whom they care! you gave the best gift to yours and don't worry he sure fell good by getting such a wonder full gift even though it is a basic phone

To me it's obvious he doesn't think he needs it. not to worry though with time and a little pestering, he'll start getting used to using it.
