what kind of dishes do you like to eat or prepare during the holidays? Is it different for people in winter climates as opposed to sunny tropical climates? I know that I'll love turkey, baked potatoes, vege rice and stewed peas where ever I am. what about you?

I love turkey or chicken w/corn bread dressing anytime. I always make lasagna on christmas eve because my kids love it & i have been doing that for years.

Yours sounds great, i love cranberries w/dressing. Cornbread is a staple where i live, lol. I love it but don't fix it as often as i'd like because i dodn't need it. Thanks for responding. Happy new year.

hi, actually, i done this moment of cooking those dishes, and i feel really tired, each of us in my family have their own assigned dishes or food, and grilling thin slice pork was assigned to me, and frying of chicken wings. really tired but i enjoyed.

lots of meat...I know alot of people like hearty food for the holiday...it's really comforting...I think. but at my house we don't need hoildays to make big or alot of food...it's almost weekly. surprising that this holiday we were all split up...I made turkey...

I am going to my daughter´s home this Christmas. This year we are going to be 3 grown ups and 6 kids only, as my eldest daughter went for vacations with her children. So I am only taking some extra food. I prepared zuchinni relish to eat with french bread as appetizer, I will stuff som nasturtium flowers with cream cheese and chives and I´m taking an apricot kuchen I made yesterday. We are starting summer in this part of the world so the eatables are going to be fresh (salads and the like). As there are going to be mainly chidren, my daughter bought chicken wings, mini dogs and other treats that children love AND eat without fuzz.
