calorie count obsession!!!

ok so i've been counting calories from a year now. since i was finished losing weight, i got a reason to be more obsessed. that is maintaining weight. Now i'm so obsessed, all i think about is food and its calories. i keep a diary with me to note down how much calories just went into my mouth :/ and how much i'll have tow orkout by evening or the other day. i visit websites like calorie count, to look up what i had or what i'm gonna have later and there deadly calories and nutritional value stuff. :| i think its taking most of my day and life!! it shouldnt be this way, i've lots of things i need to do other than this calorie count. um, work and um MYLOTTING :p damn does anyone of you feel the same ? common its not just me :( i feel sick of myself :x

I have given up counting calories! If you want to lose weight exercise and watch what you eat. If your not hungry don;t eat thats my current motto! Hope it works tho!

i do exercise and watch calories,i do both. but i think i find your last lines helpful. ^^ i wont eat when i'm hungry :p

i find that sick.. i mean do you really have to count it? maybe just watch what you eat.. i am dieting myself..but then not to that point where i do not obssess about it and i still enjoy eating! what is the point? i mean you are miserable..though you are loosing weight yet you are miserable.. maybe seek help from a professional.. you do not have to count calories..maybe you could eat more of veggies and fruits rather than meat and carbo loaded foods..that is what i do and i do loose weight and a bit of exercise is a big help...

Yes, calorie counting can be time consuming, but if you have a site where you can create common meals it doesn't take much time. I like www.livestrong.com Calorie counting for the day takes only 20 minutes, and less if you know exactly what you're eating for the day.

Weight loss and maintaining can be so mind boggling as truly a total change in eating habits must occur. I would say since you are avid at jotting down how much you ate that perhaps maybe you go ahead and jot them down, put a way the note book out of plain view for the day,but then try really hard to do other things like a a hobby so that you do not think so hard and then exercise as you normally do. Maybe looking at your notes repeatedly is making the obsession stronger. I sure wish you so much luck with your maintenance as if you have reached your goal you should be enjoying it. you know, i am in diet, every day is a diet day... i dont count calories in my diet as long as i look slim.. counting calories will make me crazy since you are doing it for a year now, maybe its now time to skip counting as long as you know that you keep on maintaining on it..

counting calories it's working my side.because it's busy world where we are eating and living we don't know up to that time.but i have strong commitment to control oily food and junk food. some times our body out of necessary amount of calories. weekly once we can check my weight and take some row food it help me a lot from counting calories and iron etc.it's also control over weight.you are doing good thing keep fellow your work sheet how much amount of food your taking and amount of calories it gives.one thing you should know it first which food gave more calories available in online.be well do well.be healthy. HEALTH IS WEALTH..:)

It takes me 20 minutes to count calories. You have to know what your meals are for the day. The best site around, in my opionion for meal planning and calorie counting is livestrong.com. Counting calories works for me, because I stay more focused. If I'm not counting calories..I go way over my calorie budget.

It's very common to see in this days.People eat too much or afraid to eat anything,neither of these was healthy.It's ok for a girl pay attention to appearance but don't over the line.I've been obsessed with some annoying thought too.My point of view is "healthy primarily" eat less fry food and more fruits and protein.Devote yourself to another hobby instead of been obsessed with calories counting.You looked very slim from your avatar so don't be too hard on yourself.Plus,compare to the beautiful appearance the connotation is also important.I say that because you are a very pretty girl^_^

That is really sick............thinking about food the whole day is such a sick way of leading life. Its actually one of the difference between man and other species that you don't have to think about food so much and it worked remarkably good for us. I think the problem which you mentioned is one of the side effects of dieting......

Maintaining the level of Calorie you take is a good habit. But obsession with these is not good. I eat good food and lead a decent and disciplined lifestyle. This is more than enough to keep yourself fit. Walking is also a great exercise. If you always think about loosing weight, you'll become mentally sick. Mental health also has an impact over physical health. So stop your over-obsession with calorie count... Merry Christmas Happy Mylotting.
