suggestions for a better mylot

Last year our resident admin GoAskalice started a discussion asking us all for suggestions. You can see it here; http://www.mylot.com/GoAskAlice I made several suggestions and several were considered. The one I remeber best was that when we acquire a new referral they should be automatically added to our friend list so that we can contact them and welcome them. At the time of the discussion that was not the case and many who joined never posted at all. MyLot did an upgrade after that discussion and many of our suggestions appeared afterwards - so they do listen!

Hello MysD, The link you gave us points to GAA's profile, I was thinking it was a discussion at the other end, but no. It was nice to see GAA's profile, this way I found he's been a member of myLot for 100 years.

Now, this kind of discussion should take place more often, as there are a lot of suggestions that can be made, don't you think?

Hi dear, Yes, it shows the quantum of discussions happened before. As you mentioned, the new comers would get inspired by it and they can get convinced of many things that they are not yet aware of it. It always help those who are really looking for some advice in this area. Thank-s

For now i wrote the admin once or two times, asking to remove my discussion or to delete one, which was posted in wrong section. I have never wrote to the admin with suggestions for now, but may be i'll do it soon, because i don't understand how some good discussions where i responded was deleted for some reasons, and two days now i see a discussion called "Marry Christmas" if we are not allowed to write that in special topic - we have to greet our friends with personal messages.

Suggar there is a Guideline which tells us not to celebrate birrthdays, holidays and the like by starting a topic and to do it in a PM. Can you imagine what the pages here would look like if we all started a topic greeting our friends on this holiday or informing that it is our birthday?

I have personal experience with that, i was looking for ideas to spend my birthday and my discussion was deleted - first and the one deleted i have since i am here, at first i was angry, but then i understood it's right and it has to be that way. My problem is more - why Marry Christmas discussion is here 2 days and the others some of which was pretty good for me, was deleted (with my response in).

It doesn't matter that i had response there, some was really interesting as i said.

Some of the 'Merry Christmas' topics actually have something which we can discuss. There were others which were just a greeting to Lotters and they are bound to fall under the hammer.

I used to write to admins 4 years back and they responded too! But as members have increased, they must be busy now. I don't contact them anymore except for GAA. But.... did I ever talk with GAA even....??

Hmm... I contacted the admins through PMs as there was no account in my knowledge at that time. Will have to check it again, but I think those accounts got online only when I was in my hibernation

period. When I returned, they were offline again. And then one day, Alice came! Oh yes, she never added me too.

Hello Hora, Yeah, I remember seeing the site before having only forty four thousand something way way back. I never really knew the others besides alex, but I don't even know how long alex had been into mylot really. But one thing is for sure, Alice never added me when she was still around.

I've only asked the moderator, who was also an admin here. He's known as Alice here and I've PM-ed him a few questions. So far, I've not suggested to him about anything that was needed to improved or enforced. I think he's quite busy nowadays, that the number of members have been increasing

Hello Judge Iron, Not only that members have increased but some of those who have returnees as well for being gone in mylot for so long. I have suggested something though I don't think it's going to approved since it's been suggested before but we never really knew the score of that. Have a great day.

Hi dear, Yes, he may be busy on various things and many queries and such things are automated with the nature of the queries. Individual responses are not possible as the number of personnel were increased. I think the company is making time to time improvements and modifications as and when requied. Hello Thanks, I used the "contact" button twice. Both times I received a message from myLot_Contact, which said my message was received and they will get to it as quickly as they can. So the requests may have not been ignored, but they may have not been read as well. I'm sure the message I received after my two requests were sent automaticaly, and there is no proof they have been read.

Hi Inu, As you may be awere, all responses and many of the answes are automated and system generated. As this is a fact, we rarely get manual responses and sometime many of the queries are categoriesed and if they found relevent, we MAY get direct responses otherwise it could be a automated resonse. Till now I never told any suggestion or recommendations to admin,Because I don't have any suggestion to tell.If at all I feel any suggestions surely I will send an suggestions to admin.Now I think mylot is running very smoothly it doesn't need any suggestions to improve mylot. I hope and wish this will continue for a long time.

I asked once if they would better explain how they figure the payments. No answer. Then they CashGopher and it is even more confusing to tell how they pay. Now I just enjoy the site and all the people I've met and consider the pennies accumulated a bonus. I wish there was a way to stay permanently logged in.

Hello Team Rose, how they figure the payments

You are paid through paypal based on you're target pay out and that is from 10,25,50, until 100$ only. I don't think they will never tell you how it is done for some security reasons. All I know is that they do pay in this site and have experience being paid so many times. I don't know about being permanently log in but of course, I prefer to log in and out because it's more safe that way.

Hi dear, Sometime it is evident that they won’t individual respond any remark as those details are already mentioned in the FAQs. It is their conviction that we need to refer the details over there and they won’t respond to it. Also, I don’t think it is advisable that a permanent login is possible, due to security reasons. But if you open the page through firefox, I think the site would ask for password saving formalities. Once you are in regular, sometimes it will help. But I am not sure, this facility is there with myLot. Thank-s

hmm..never really thought about that one though. Since i am here for the "extra" money and basically just for the community itself, i really have nothing against the policies and how this site is being made. Come to think of it, we all have a couple of ideas to share with them. But probably just sending them random messages would not be a good idea, imo. Currently, looking down at the bottom of my browser, there are 222,229 members in mylot. Imagine what if all of those people sent messages to them requesting for this or suggesting that. If i were part of the admin, i'd rather mark them all as read or sent directly to the trash. Probably a forum or a live chat dedicated for that topic, again, moderated by good rules and policies would be an answer to that, i think. Or maybe other mylotters have a better idea about how to do it. Just put yourself in their shoes, that's all. At least i know what i would say to them if i were to write a message. Thank you for this site and letting me earn as well as participate in healthy discussions such as this one. :)

Hi Thanks, I believe the admin are too occupied and would not like being bothered by our requests. So I have not yet contacted any of them directly. Tough there was an occasion I tried to reach out to them via a discussion and Alice - the Admin was quite grateful to take time off and respond. That was the only time I met or came to know that the Admin exists for real and also keeps an eye on what we are doing. Regards theSids.

that's exactly what I think about all the times, I have a hunch that some discussions are not well compensated for good review before it is deleted. I do remember the admin adding me and then responding through my queries through private messaging. The admin does exist but I felt the post made here are just too much for the admin to check and decide to delete or review.

Also, I have never experienced at any point of time that they do interact with any columns with the people from the main page of myLot. We get periodically the mails like notification, congratulations etc, but there is no common communication ever observed. MYlot admin do consider requests especially when alot of us are asking for the same things. From what i read in some old posts, there are no emoticons in the past, and it's a request by some mylotters over a period of time, before mylot introduced emoticons. Other than that, i don't know if there are any more changes, because when i'm a member here, all i see now are already in place and i'm happy with them all.
