For how much can I have a home theater set up for?

I am planning to buy a home theater set up because I know it's so much fun to have one. I would like to know how much would it cost and what is the minimum space required to have a decent set up. Guys who have an idea about it please give me your views

The price of the home theater system is varies depend upon the quality and the brand you want.
At my place, it can be from $300.00 USD to few thousands or more.
First of all, you should check with your existing system you have.
For instance, a certain Television set can compatible to certain brand and model of the home theater system.
You are advised to write down the brand and model of your television set if there is any.
Then you have to show it to the relevant merchant to get a right home theater set.
To save this problem, you should purchase a completely new set of audio visual system which comprises the television set and the home theater set.

Thank u for your suggestion but I am planning to buy a new LCD TV rather than using my existing television. Is there any particular size the room should be to get a perfect home theater experience of I could even accommodate it in my small room?
