Why don't people read these discussions?

I find the more I read of these conversations the more some of the people seem not to have even read the whole post. Its like they answer just the discussion subject line without reading the full text. This annoys me as many times I am told to Google it. If I wanted to Google it, I wouldn't have posted it here where I get PAID to discuss things. Am I the only one that gets annoyed by this?

In the past, when i started my membership i was the same way. I didn't have enough time to read long posts, so i answered the questions more and then was leaving the discussions. Lately i changed a lot, i started to check for responses to my responses in someone's else discussions, i started to be interested in what people want to tell me and i can say that since i started to do that, i'm much more happy here, than i was before.

I can see that. This is more than a money site. This is about social interaction too. I like that part of this site. Unless its my discussion, I don't go and read everyone's posts. Just the original poster.

I do at times do notice that members truly do not read the full posts. I have also seen that times when this happens the initial poster gets so frustrated and then the next comment comes in and the poster does not read that response either as the initial poster lets off their stream to the follow response. This I know as it has happen to me. So when I come back and re respond and explain well I understand your frustration, but it is clear that you did not read my full posted comment as I was being positive and you clearly overlooked it. Then the intial poster comes back and apologizes and does admit that the frustration was overwhelming. So sometimes it is a double edge sword tanniebabe, and being that I am so active I have seen so much going in so many ways.

I believe that. I am not new to the boards and I have been on the receiving end of that myself. I always read the full post. Sometimes I don't understand the point of it, but I figure if I am going to respond to the whole post, that I had better be certain what I'm talking about.

I am one of those person who do not read whole posts, specially if the post is large. I read whole post if it is short and if it within my understandable subjects. Posts I do not understand full meaning I read a few line and then not continue to read its full text. I guess a large portion of member here for earning money on discussions so they do not read whole text before posting response. I think you are not one that gets annoyed by this but may be others do not want to express their annoying matter about posts or discussion. I also understand as there is no strict guidance from topics poster that how to reply the discussion, so me or members here respond as they think proper or as far as possible. Member try to satisfy themselves about posting response and when they think the response is perfect and it may be posted then they post it.

Every once in a while, someone will leave an answer to one of my discussions or comments that clearly has absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter--it used to annoy me, but now I just find it to be kind of comical--reminds me of a "Mad Libs" game, or maybe "telephone."

Ok, Mad Libs I can see, but what is telephone? Is that the one where everyone is in a line and you whisper something down the line and its usually messed up by the time it gets to the last person?

That's the one--sometimes the message gets passed along pretty well until the middle or so, and sometimes it's the first person who messes up the phrase!
